Company News|Aquacells Highlights from the 2026 Wuhan Women’s Innovation,Entrepreneurship and Leadership Competition

From the blossoms of spring through the challenges of summer,we have reached the Project Matchmaking and Awards Ceremony of the 2026 Wuhan Women’s Innovation,Entrepreneurship and Leadership Competition.

Launched in March,the competition spanned seven months.Through successive pitches and exchanges,the Aquacells team strengthened its overall capabilities and refined its approach to project commercialization,ultimately winning Second Prize in the final of the Women’s Science and Technology Innovation Track.

The competition provided fresh impetus for research and business development.During the event,several investment institutions showed strong interest in Aquacells’project to develop domestic ultrapure water solutions for the semiconductor industry and expressed an interest in investing.Join us as we look back at the highlights of our journey.

Initial Selection

When applications opened,Aquacells entered its project,“R&D and Commercialization of Boron Removal Electrodeionization(EDI)Modules for Semiconductor Ultrapure Water.”Addressing key challenges in the semiconductor industry,the project advances domestically developed water treatment technology and successfully qualified for the preliminary round of the Science and Technology Innovation Track.

Preliminary Round

Drawing on years of experience in ultrapure water production,Aquacells confidently addressed questions from judges and investors,explaining the project’s technical principles,market potential,and value as a domestic alternative to imported solutions.Standing out among the competing projects,the team earned strong recognition from judges and investment institutions and secured a place in the final.

Resource Matchmaking Event

A project resource matchmaking event was held alongside the competition,providing a platform for technology companies to connect with investors.Aquacells engaged in focused,productive discussions on technology development priorities,investment and financing models,collaboration across the industry value chain,and the commercialization of research outcomes.These exchanges laid the groundwork for future investment partnerships and industry collaboration.

Final

Aquacells competed alongside 14 other finalists in the Women’s Science and Technology Innovation Track.Focusing on the core challenges of ultrapure water production for the semiconductor industry,the team presented the R&D challenges,key technological breakthroughs,and commercial application cases of its semiconductor-specific boron removal EDI modules.With its strong technical expertise,clear business plan,and contribution to replacing imported technologies,Aquacells distinguished itself in the competition and won Second Prize in the final of the Science and Technology Innovation Track.

With years of experience in ultrapure water treatment,Aquacells has addressed challenges in the semiconductor industry through dedicated research into boron-selective resin synthesis and innovations in high-performance ion-exchange membranes.These efforts have increased boron and silica removal rates to 99%,delivering product water that meets electronic-grade ultrapure water standards and enabling domestic alternatives to imported core components.In project applications,the products have demonstrated performance comparable to internationally recognized brands,with product water quality far exceeding industry standards.Aquacells has become a selected supplier to several leading domestic companies.

Building on this recognition,Aquacells will draw on support from government platforms and investment resources to accelerate the commercialization of its technologies and continue developing domestic alternatives to imported solutions.We will also continue participating in science and technology innovation competitions,broadening our perspectives and building technical experience through exchanges with other companies.Through these efforts,we aim to support the development of China’s semiconductor ultrapure water industry and deliver stable,reliable Chinese solutions to the global high-end water treatment market.
